I became a LMT 15 years ago when I was a stay at home mom of 3 small children. No challenge is easy, but I learned as long as you are passionate and have a near goal, you are in charge to make it happen. Many students come to me say "I always like to help people" "I grow up massaging family and friends."

Students massage a person for the first time like they have done it all their lives. We are all gifted, you might not have used it, but you'll never know you have it unless you take the opportunity to find out.
In Hawaii people do Lomilomi massage to family and friends as a form of subculture. It comes so natural to many students to express love through massage. In Japan we have katamomi ( shoulder rub) also many of us grow up doing it in daily basis. Every country, every place in the world has it's own unique massage modalities. Massage is a form of expression of  love and passion to whom in need. Everyone has experiences where you take extra moments to put your hands to someone, it could be a person or animal because you want to heal. We are all meant to heal others and to be healed by others touch.

What are the Benefits to Becoming a Nori Kohana Massage Therapy (NKMT) Intern?

• ​Nori Kohana Massage Therapy (NKMT) is an established business with an 14 year reputation of affordable and quality services, and an increasing clientele population to attest to its caliber of treatments. 
• NKMT provides all the necessary equipment at no extra cost. This includes massage tables, towel warmers, bolsters, chairs, cushions and pillows for specialty treatments, water and tea for clients.
• NKMT appreciates and values the effort and contribution of its apprentices. For that reason, we put significant time and resources into focused marketing and advertising efforts for all Level 2 apprentices at no additional cost to the intern.

• We want to make sure your needs are met and that you feel you can represent our services confidently. In your Level 2 apprenticeship you are eligible for one complimentary treatment each month from an LMT. (total of 5)
• The option to complete Level 1 independent of Level 2, allows you the option to receive the necessary instruction and credits to apprentice elsewhere, if our environment is not one you wish to contribute to. 
• Beginning in Level 2 we are willing to accommodate your schedule to the best of our ability and within our current working hours. This means that you can make yourself as available as you wish and are afforded the flexibility to complete your apprenticeship at your pace. 
• Program satisfies AMTA Requirements.
